Dhara Sansthan's main mission is to enable a sustainable opportunity for rural life. As Dhara is working in the dist. Barmer of Rajasthan, which includes the area of Thar desert, thus in the domain of water Dhara has a deep focus on water conservation, providing safe drinking water and another sustainable water source for daily usage and crop usage in the drought-prone areas of Rajasthan. Dhara has made several intervention on the water till now as- providing RO water plant in 15 villages, Rainwater harvesting structure(Tanka Water Tank, Med-Bandi in Farm Program, Pond(Nadi)-digging program, etc, being supported by Aravali- Jaipur-Capart(Voluntary Agencies Action for Drought Relief in Rajasthan), Action Aid, National Foundation for India, Save The Children(Echo), Sir Darabji Tata Trust, Vedanta, Cairn Oil & Gas etc.
