The Objective of the project is to provide access to potable water to communities and school going children who travels long distances to access potable water.The situation has resulted into communities using water from the nearby river.This has brough high occurrences of waterborne disaeses hence this project is so unique and important.We shall provide AFRIDEF hand pump which are easy to operate and easy to maintain so the innovative part of the project.We shall train communities in PHAST Approaches so that they adhere to hygiene and sanitation best practices.We shall promote construction of pit latrines to deal with issues of open defacation which is alsao rampant.The project will reduce waterborne disases,children will have access to clean water which is in line with sustainable development goal number 6
