Project Overview

In partnership with the USDA Forest Service, this project restores 500 acres of meadow atop the Sierra Crest of the Sierra Nevada Divide in the El Dorado National Forest. The project site has been degraded by animal grazing, recreational use, and development, leading to stream channel erosion and gullying, lowering of the groundwater table, drying of the meadow vegetation, and the loss of willows and sagebrush encroachment.
