Basin Champions and Leaders

The role of Basin Champions is to ignite interest in corporate water stewardship activities in the basin. Basin Champions provide seed funding for early activities in each of the 100 Priority Basins to allow the Water Resilience Coalition and CEO Water Mandate to identify and engage stakeholders and convene a broad group of interested parties to accelerate action on water. Basin Leaders provide funding support at a later stage once activity has started. Activities include selecting a Project Management Organization (PMO) to lead and coordinate basin activities, a Technical Lead to provide expertise on targets and project implementation, and in the Mississippi River Basin, a Community Water Resilience Lead (CWR) lead to coordinate CWR activities within the basin.
